Our service evolved from the brides point of view and in the bride's best interest. December 16th 2004, a family member needed very involved surgeries that required extensive air travel. We had great insurance but airfare to Cincinnati and Boston for numerous surgeries was expensive. We needed a business to make money for travel expenses.
Since my daughter Cari was just married a few years earlier and had experience photographing weddings, I asked her about the wedding photographer she used. I was speechless when she said "Dad, I've been married for 3 years and I still don't have a 8x10 of my wedding. I only have 4x6 prints because my wedding photographer charges $22.00 for one 8x10 print." I responded, 'We are too busy to try and sell prints, let's just perform the service and not restrict the brides for prints in any way! Plus, I have 20 years experience with photography from promoting my art business." Cari thought that this was a great idea, freedom with your images. SHE WAS RIGHT! Center Stage paid for travel expenses for surgeries. In following years Center Stage services expanded and the business rapidly grew.
Professionalism is sometimes a misused term:
Professionalism is not about a job title or membership in an organization.
Professionalism does not mean the most costly equipment is employed.
Professionalism does not mean the most expensive service.
Professionalism is not about ego.
Professionalism is about the bride and groom and how to best serve them.
This approach is why we are successful.
